About This Project

The master plan for Norfolk Village south of Brisbane included several “pocket” parks distributed throughout the estate. We were commissioned to devise individual landscape plans, such that each park would include suitable rest areas, a structured playspace where feasible, and sufficient open space for informal ball games and the like. Most parks shared at least one common boundary with private residences, so adequate landscape screening was essential for the privacy of adjacent residents and to maintain an “inward” visual focus for each site. Some required special attention to the detailing of stormwater runoff devices that would be blended seamlessly into the park landscape.
