About This Project

Located on a broad floodplain meander of the Logan River, Alexander Clark Park has long been one of Logan’s “hidden gems”.

While the original park included disparate picnic and general leisure opportunities among a number of mature Moreton Bay fig trees and a scattered distribution of riverine vegetation lining the river banks, Logan City Council engaged our firm to come up with a Master Plan which would consolidate existing facilities, reinforce the existing vegetation types and encourage opportunities for additional recreation and leisure pursuits.

Our Master Plan focused on creating well defined spaces with meandering interpretive pedestrian trails connecting feature points. The reinforcement of existing vegetation along designed viewlines was paramount to achieving this purpose.
